The thought and creativity that must have gone into this book is incredible! It's like a literature roller coaster, with ups and downs, and curves that time and time again vear in unexpected directions, with a new thrill around each corner. It keeps you on the edge of you "broom" the whole story.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is the second book in the Harry Potter series.

Harry is now in his second year at Hogwarts school and after he gets back from summer break at his dreaded aunt and uncles house mysterious things begin to happen. People are being petrified all over the school and no one knows whos doing it. To make matters worse Harry is hearing a strange hissing noise that no one else is hearing and he has developed the talent of speaking in parsel tonuge, snake language, a talent of the Slytherin family. In the end Harry has to open the Chamber of Secrets, a hidden room in the school, and save Ron's little sister Ginny who has been hypnotised by the diary of an old student, Tom Riddle.

This book is slightly better then the first one, the story is still a little childish and silly but every book gets a little better.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is a book containing all the key elements of a great story. There is suspense, mystery, comedy, and a plot great enough to capture the attention of any age. Harry has to face things that make him realize, yet again, that this world is not all good, but contains much evil. He also realizes that he is one of the people who must fight against the bad things of this world. The second book in a series of great adventures, this book is definitely one of the most thrilling and satisfying to read.

Harry hadn't heard from any of his friends all summer and was beginning to feel that they did not want anything to do with them. Harry's uncle was having someone he wished to do business with over for dinner and Harry was supposed to stay upstairs and be queit while the man and his wife was there. But with Harry's luck, a house elf had decided to pay a visit to Harry's new room to try and stop him from returning to Hogwarts, warning him of horrible danger. Through the whole hustle-bustle of having a house elf in the house, the elf had ended up smashing the pudding Harry's aunt had made for desert, resulting in Harry being locked in his room for three days. Harry was only able to get away because his best friend, Ron had flown a bewitched car to fetch Harry to come spend the remainder of the summer with him after he hadn't responded to any of his letters. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets is Harry's second year at Hogwarts. Harry is back at his aunt's and uncle's for the summer. And if you can believe it, treat him worse than usual. Harry has been back at his aunt's and uncle's for a month and has yet to recieve a single letter from either of his friends, even though Ron had promised to invite him to stay.

Harry's uncle is having a rich man and his wife who he hopes will order a large order of drills from the company he is the president of. Harry is to stay up in his room and not do anything that will give the man and his wife any sort of inkling that he is in the house. But when Harry goes up stairs when their guests arrive, he finds an odd creature sitting on his bed. The creature introduces himself as Dobby the House Elf. Dobby tells Harry that he is there to warn him of danger at Hogwarts this year. But every time he attempts to give Harry more information, he begins to hit his head on the wall or on a lamp. He explains that his masters do not know he's there and that he must punish himself. Dobby tries to convince Harry not to return to Hogwarts because of the danger. One of his ways of trying to get him to stay home is to give him his mail if he agrees. Harry gets very upset to learn that Dobby has been stealing his mail and Dobby darts out of the room, down the stairs and into the kitchen in fright, where he smashes Harry's aunts pudding and dissappears. Which of course gets Harry in big trouble because right afterwards an owl arrives telling Harry that he has broken a wizard law (performing underage magic) and that if he breaks that law again, he will be expelled from Hogwarts. After a pudding being smashed by a "disturbed" nephew and an owl flying through they're house, his uncles guests decide NOT to order any drills and hurry out of the house.

Harry's uncle locked him in his room for this. Only allowing him out to go to the bathroom. On his third night, Harry is surprised to see his best friend Ron floating in front of his bedroom window in an old car. Ron tells him that he and his twin brothers, Fred and George, were worried because he hadn't answered his letters and came to take him to their house.

Harry spends the rest of his summer with the Weasley's and returns to HOgwarts on September first. All is well until around Halloween when the caretakers cat was attacked and petrified by an unknown criminal. Along with that, Harry is hearing a voice that no body else seems to hear, a rogue bludger hits his arm and breaks it during a Quidditch match and every one seems to think that Harry is the one attacking the muggle borns. That is, until Harry's best friend, Hermione, who is muggle born is attacked. Without Hermione's smarts, Harry and Ron are forced to figure out how to help Ron's little sister, Ginny, who has been kidnapped by the attacker and Harry meets the Dark Lord again.

I thought that this book was phenominal! I like the ending becouse you would never have known that Jenny had been doing the killings and that she was possesed. I liked how she trails off so that you think lockhart is committing the killings when he is really just a stunned and fake professor. This book was defenetly worth reading.

This book was wonderful, the second one was actually the favorite one in the series when I began reading it, and the fifth one was already out by then. I loved the book and would recommend this book to any and all fans of fantasy. The Harry Potter books are one of the greatest books of this generation, Rowling keeps getting better as the Harry Potter books go along. Go Rowling and go Harry Potter! This book was very good, the plot kept getting better throughout the whole thing, keeping you in as much suspense as you could get. The ending was perfectly wonderful, adding a new part of the school into Hogwarts. The very ending kept on asking me, and anyone else who read it, for more. This book will be one of the books that will be remembered throughout the ages in reading to come.

Ever since Harry Potter had Come home for the summer, the Dursleys had been so mean and hideous that all harry wanted to do was to go back to Hogwarts. But as he pack his bags, harry receives a warning from a strange creature. That creature is a house elf.The house elf tells Harry not to go back, but Harry does not listen.
In harry's Second year at school theres fresh torments and horrors arise. But the real trouble begins- someone or something is truning stundents in to stone. Could it be the work of Malfoy or tom riddle(aka He who must not be named)or who every one at Hogwarts most suspects-Harry Potter

I think this book is great. lots of things happen. there is not a page that does not get boring.
