A Little Princess
User reviews
A Little Princess is a classic book about a girl who has grown up in a rich life and suddenly has it all taken away from her when her father dies. The story talks about what she does and how she really is a cool person, not some snob with a lot of money.
This book is awesome. Everything flows really well and it is so natural. Though one part (about a chapter) dragged, the ending made up for it. This book is more girl interest than boy interest, and I loved it.
this book is more for younger kids, but it is very adorable. its a bout a girl who is acustomed to a very high life. her daddy gets her everything she wants, but when her father dies in a war, she is sent to clean with all the other common maids. this book was moving and i would recomend it to people who are children at heart.
This book revolves around a little girl named Sara Crewe who starts off in the book as a rich girl. Her dad is in India but wants her to attend a boarding school. At the boarding school because of her wealth and also her winning personality Sarah becomes friends with most and also is the little star of the school.
Then however her father dies and a friends of the father leaves with most of the money. Now Sarah is made a servant and most of her old friends turn on her except for 2. From then on although her life changes Sarah and another maid pass through life acting as if they are prisoners.
This book is very beautiful and the ending is satisfactory and rewarding. I recommend this for anyone of any ages.
I absolutely adored this book and the movie was pure enjoyment. The richness of the characters and the underlying moral of the story was pure and true. It was a captivating story throughout that reels in its readers and makes them want more. Every child should have this book in their memory and remember what life is all about.
That poor girls suffers a lot, and you wish you could help her, hug her and make her feel better, to tell her that evrything is gonna be ok.
This is a classic for me, and it made me cry and cry and cry. You should definetely read it.
The focus in the story is on the life of young Sara Crewe. She is a daughter of wealth thanks to her father's generosity and having such freedoms as money will allow, often times can be found presenting herself with an air of nobility (hence the title). Growing up without a mother as she had tragically passed away when she was born, her father is everything to her as she is to also to him.
Upon her 11th birthday, misfortune reaches its hand back into her life, snatching away that remaining connection to which she so fondly held. Not only is her father now gone, but she is told that the money is nonexistant, thus leaving her in the unfriendly hands of Miss Minchin at her boarding school. All is not lost to this fair child, even though others would strive to squelch her spirit. Throughout the worst of times, she keeps her head held high (as any true princess should) and in the end, discovers truths that were kept hidden from her.
Enjoyable for readers of all ages. Happy reading!
This is a sad book about a daughter who has only her father and her father has only her. She is used to getting everything in India, until her father has to move her to America for the war. Off he gose and now the princess is a servent when her fatehr dies. Then she finds something out. An old war solider is living accross the street who seems to have lost his memory.
A breathe taking tale of a young girl who's father dies while she is at a london boarding school. Young Sara Crewe is penniless and alone, she lives in the boarding school's dreary attic, and works for her food and clothes. It brought tearss to my eyes reading this.
If you like the book you will certainly love the movie.
