Welcome to another amazing cover reveal!

Today we’re celebrating the cover for THE GATEWAY THROUGH WHICH THEY CAME by Heather Marie releasing August 25, 2014 from Curiosity Quills. Before we get to the cover, here’s a note from Heather:

Hello, YABC!

If we haven’t met before, I’m Heather Marie. Yes, Marie is my middle name ‘cause that’s how I roll. I can’t even believe I’m writing this because I never thought I’d get the chance to be on this amazing blog. I’ve dreamed of having my cover revealed on YABC and now that I’m here, I don’t even know what to do with myself. THE GATEWAY THROUGH WHICH THEY CAME was my sixth manuscript, and I’m thankful for all the manuscripts that are now filed away for getting me where I am now. When I described to my cover designer, Ricky Gunawan, what I pictured for GATEWAY, I knew he would turn my crazy idea into something phenomenal. And he so did. His raw talent for detail is just unbelievable, and when I first saw the cover, my heart fluttered and my eyes teared up. It’s beyond words how I felt/feel. It’s perfect and beautiful and I can’t wait to share THE GATEWAY THROUGH WHICH THEY CAME with you. I hope you all love the cover as much as I do.

About the Book

To seventeen-year-old Aiden Ortiz, letting the dead walk through his body to reach the other side comes with the territory. Being a Gateway isn’t an easy job, but someone’s gotta send Bleeders where they belong. Heaven. Salvation. Call it whatever you want. Dead is dead. But when his search for Koren Banks––the girl who went mysteriously missing seven months ago––leaves him with more questions than answers, he finds himself involved in something far more sinister and beyond his control.

With the threat of the Dark Priest’s resurrection, and his plan to summon his demon brothers from hell, Aiden is left to discover his identity before the Dark Priest’s curse infecting his blood consumes him, and before the world as he knows it succumbs to the darkness of hell on earth.

One of my favourite TV shows was Dead Like Me, where a young girl, recently deceased, has been recruited as a grim reaper to remove the souls of dying people at the moment of death so that they don’t suffer from dying. It was funny, moving and such an interesting concept. I think The Gateway Through Which They Came sounds right up my alley. Congratulations Heather! I’m looking forward to reading it.
