In the second installment, we dig deeper into the past of dragons. In Icefire, we learn more about the history of the dragons that live in the Pennykettle's home, as well as the living, breathing ones. Icefire has more adventure, mystery than The Fire Within, and is jammed packed full of legends.
In Icefire, we learn more about the characters. In The Fire Within, they were quite well defined, but in Icefire, they have their own special auras. They all shine in the own way, and for me, David is the brightest. David is a fun, lovable character who is serious but hilarious in some parts.
I think the idea of David digging into the past is quite a brilliant idea as he and you both learn more about it. I think this book was a great read and definitely recommend it.

Icefire helps us learn more about the history of the Pannykettle dragons and just normal dragons in general. Icefire has more action in it than The Fire Within and has lots of legends twisted up in it, most of which turn out to be true.
My favourite character was probably David, even though all the characters are lovable. I also really loved the Pennykettle dragons, they were hilarious in some parts, and serious in others.
David now knows more about the Pennykettle dragons, but he wants to know more. And as he digs deeper into their past, you find yourself swept up in the story, learning more about the dragons, and the characters as you go.
I think this book is a really good one.

My favorite character is David, even though all the characters are great. Icefire seems like it is a perfect title because it talks about part of what The Fire Within is about and I think this book was actually really good.
