I read this book and was amazed at how easy it was to read and how fast I read it. It kept me interested the whole time. Usually when I read a book I have to take many breaks but this book, I couldnt put it down. I loved this book and will read it again and again. This is a book that every library should have.

This awesome book by Louis Sachar is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats (read that backwards!) who gets sent to a juvenille deliquincy camp for something he really didn't do. As he makes friendships with the other boys, who each have a history of their own, he digs holes looking for some unknown. Eventually, Stanley runs away and finds the real treasure. This novel is filled with a potpurri of awesome characters like Mr. Sir and is a must read for any teen.

This book was one of the greatest books ever.I think that the descriptions of the lake were great as well as the descriptions of the charactars. This story is also amazing beacause the author makes you think more about how fortune and makes you feel like u personally know that charactar and makes you feel so happy that you are not in their situation.

Many kids , i belive , should read this book.It is fun ,entertaining and a thrill to read.It is also adventureous as well as funny.I also think if you want to see the movie, you should read the book first.

Excellent book! It's hard sometimes finding books to read that are differnt. I mean ones that don't have some of the same old story lines. I think a lot of teenagers can get into reading this story. It could appeal to their curiosity of what it could possibly be like to go to a teen rehabitiation camp as well as the desire to find a lost treasure. I love how there are several interwoven stories in one the story of stealing the sneekers linked to the great grandfather's curse to the lost money from the women bank robber. It keeps you interested thorugh out the book I could'nt put this book down until I finished reading it.

Holes is a pretty good book. Altho, it was kinda hard for me to read it. I mean, NO ONE should ever be put in the desert and be made to dig holes, i mean, just the way these poor kids were treated was wrong! Espeically Zero, that poor little guy. Sorry getting off topic now... Holes is a good book, and i would recommened that kids 9-12 read it.

Holes is about a boy named Stanley Yelnats whose whole family is cursed. Stanley happens to be in the wrong place at the wreong time and suddenly ends up at a camp for juvenile delinquents where they dig holes all day. But there is a strange story behind the Yelnats family curse that is somehow connected to the warden of the camp and a boy named Zero, who is also at the camp.

Holes was a really good book, it had a great plot and was overall fun to read. I liked the ending and the whole story behind the Yelnats curse.

If you saw the movie and hated it then maybe you might like the book better. Holes is a very entertaining book with a few unfortunate events that causes a kid named Stanley to end up at a boys detention center digging holes. Stanley encounters even more unfortunate events at the dention center.

Its a great book one of the first books I ever read but I still love it.
