SIx boy scout rejects find themselves conscripted by British Intelligence for a covert operation to infiltrate the Hitler Youth deep inside Nazi Germany. A World War II novel.

1940. War has come to England.
Reggie, Freddie, Henry, Dougie, Willy and (“please don’t call me Jackie”) Jack, are six young lads who desperately want to join the Boy Scouts to do their bit for the home front.

After they’re rejected from the local Ronan Academy Boy Scout troop for being orphans, the six press on and form their own rag-tag troop, the Scouts of St. Michael, named after the patron saint of their boys home. This doesn’t go over well with the official Ronan Boy Scout troop.

One night during an air raid, the six mount an unmanned anti-aircraft gun and shoot down an attacking German dive bomber. Like lightning, news of their bravery and resourcefulness reach the ears of Lord Robert Baden-Powell, founder of the Boy Scouts, Prime Minister Winston Churchill, and even King George VI—as well as leaders of the newly formed Special Operations Executive—responsible for all action behind enemy lines.

A situation has arisen that demands immediate action—deep in Nazi Germany itself.

The six brave boys may be the linchpin of the entire operation … if they’re willing to answer the king’s call. Should they succeed, they’ll grow up heroes. Should they fail, they won’t grow up.
