Last fall, sixteen-year-old Camelia fell for Ben, a new boy at school who had a very mysterious gift – psychometry, the ability to sense the future through touch. But just as Camelia and Ben's romance began to heat up, he abruptly left town. Brokenhearted, Camelia has spent the last few months studying everything she can about psychometry and experiencing strange brushes with premonition. Camelia wonders if Ben's abilities have somehow been transferred to her.

Ben returns to school, but he remains aloof, and Camelia can't get close enough to share her secret with him. Camelia makes the painful decision to let him go and move on. Adam, the hot new guy at Knead, seems good for her in ways Ben wasn't. But when Camelia and Adam start dating, a surprising love triangle results. A chilling sequence of events uncovers secrets from Ben’s past – and Adam's. Someone is lying, and it's up to Camelia to figure out who – before it's too late.

Just when sixteen-year-old Camelia's relationship with Ben started to heat up, he leaves town. Ben has a certain paranormal gift-psychometry-the ability to sense the future with touch. This gift has caused both him and Camelia nothing but heartache. Add to that a past that includes a dead former girlfriend and a town that refuses to let him forget that.

Now Ben has returned. Camelia tries to get close to him, but he refuses to have anything to do with her. Vicious rumors still circulate about Ben's past. Camelia stands up for him but when he pushes her away, she decides maybe it's time to get on with her life.

Adam,a new cute guy shows up at her after-school job. He's everything Ben isn't--carefree and seems to really be into her.

But just when Camelia starts to date Adam, a triangle shows up. More secrets surface from Ben's past. Plus someone else seems to be after her. Will Camelia figure out who this person is before it's too late?

This is the second book in the Touch series. I really enjoyed the first book and loved how the author was able to add an unique twist to this story. I'd never heard of psychometry and found it interesting how this paranormal gift could effect not only those who have this ability but those around them. It's refreshing to have a story that doesn't rely on the usual cliche paranormal factors.

The second book though I was hoping for more interaction with Camelia and Ben. Ben seemed to waver back and forth from wanting to get close to Camelia and then wanting nothing to do with her. I could sense Camelia's frustration.

I also felt the final revelation was a tad bit predictable. Still, if you are looking for a paranormal that isn't the norm, this is the one. I'm hoping the third book will show how both Ben's and Camelia's paranormal gifts will help them with what I'm sure are other mysteries in their town.

Deadly Little Lies is the sequel to Deadly Little Secrets and definitely lives up to the suspense and romance of the first book. Starting a few months after Ben leaves Camelia's life, the story immediately takes off with a burst of heart pounding action that just keeps on rolling the entire novel. Right from page one, Camelia is immediately caught up in a new dangerous situation that had me biting my nails. This book kept me captivated until the very last page and I cant wait to  pick up the third book in the series, Deadly Little Games.
