Rue Silver's mother has disappeared . . . and her father has been arrested, suspected of killing her. But it's not as straightforward as that. Because Rue is a faerie, like her mother was. And her father didn't kill her mother -- instead, he broke a promise to Rue's faerie king grandfather, which caused Rue's mother to be flung back to the faerie world. Now Rue must go to save her -- and must also defeat a dark faerie that threatens our very mortal world.

Title: The Good Neighbors Author: Holly Black Illustrator: Ted Naifeh Publisher:Graphix Number Of Pages:117

Summary From Jacket Flap: The Human Realm and The Faerie Realm have always been good neighbors. Rue Silver's life isn't at all what it appears to be. Her mother has disappeared and her father is being blamed for murder. Is her guilty? Or is there another truth beneath it all? Rue digs deeper into her family's past and makes a startling discovery: Her mother is a faerie, and she has vanished back into the faerie realm because of a broken promise. In order to get her back, Rue must plunge into the depths of her own identity- and must follow the sinister twists of her own fate. As she did so masterfully in The Spiderwick Chronicles and her novels Tithe, Valiant, and Ironside, Holly Black creates a mysterious, dark world full of threat, romance, and illusion.... this time matched by the amazing imagination of graphic artist Ted Naifeh. Beware: The Faerie realm is about to crash into our own.

Review: This book was beautifully illustrated by Ted Naifeh. I found that I couldn't stop reading. I had to know what happened next. The story was really fast paced and full of suspense. One of Rue's friends Justin was hilarious! I always wanted to have The Sight and I almost felt like I had The Sight while reading this great graphic novel.
