The Gatekeepers: Evil Star (Book 2)
Evil Star, the second installment of the Power of Five series, was wonderful, suspenseful, and thrilling. How could you expect much less from Anthony Horowitz though? Matthew Freeman, now living with ex-journalist and newly made friend Richard (who helped Matt in Ravens Gate) is thrown into the mystery of the Nazca Lines in Peru. He meets a fellow member of the Five and befriend Professor Chambers. Chambers is essential in his quest to uncover the truth of the Lines.
Another heart stopping thriller that keeps you reading until the very end and leaves you wanting more and more.
Hmm, well, this was different. Compared to the 1st book in the series, I think they're pretty equal in boringness and excitement. Matt meets Pedro, another 'one of the five' They cannot speak the same language, and talk to each other in their dreams, which I found fascinating and wonderful to read about. How they met was quite interesting too, as Pedro attempted to rob Matt thinking he was a rich spoiled tourist. But Pedro remembers Matt from his dreams. They have to run away from the police as Matt is in the country with an illegal and fake passport. Matt comes to accept the fact that he must be 'one of the five' and that it his destiny, as well as Pedro's to save the world from the Old Ones. The ending is startling, you should definitely read this book.
