Vampirates: Tide of Terror was a great read. It was a very captivating book, that you didn't want to ever stop reading. It had many dark secrets that were fun to try and figure out. Each page had its own excitement, and no page was ever dull. I would give this book 5 stars any day.

Vampirates: Tide of Terror by Justin Somper is the follow up to the gripping first book in the series. The story returns to Conner and Grace Tempest after the two are finally reunited. Grace now lives with her brother on the Diablo pirate ship now, and she is constantly missing her friends on the mysterious Vampirate ship that she recently left. She feels like she doesn't really belong where she is now, and yearns to go back.

After one of Conner's friends is killed in a raid, Grace suggests going to a pirate school called Pirate Acadamy as she fears for her brother's life. It has all the lessons you'd learn pirating, but nothing life-threatening. After convincing her brother and the captain, Grace gets her way and they go. Conner immediatly loves the school and makes fast friends, while Grace always seems somewhere else.

When Grace learns that she can transport herself to the ship of vampires, she visits and learns that Lorcan Furey's eyes have been fatally wounded while he was protecting her from the misunderstanding on the deck of the Vampirate ship. Worried and feeling guilty, she wants nothing more than to help Lorcan get better. However, it's really hard to help someone when he doesn't want her to.

Equally as hard to put down as the first installment in the action-packed series, Tide of Terror is perfect for any fans of the first Vampirate book or anyone into vampires and pirates.

This is a great book about twins Connor and Grace Tempest. Their father, who is the lighthouse watcher, has just died. The only thing they have to remember him by, is the old shanty he used to sing about "vampirates".The Tempest twins are then forced to make a decision, they could either live at an orphanage, or run away with their fathers boat.

They choose the boat. Then they get caught in a terrible storm and their ship is destroyed and they are separated.

Grace is rescued by a mysterious Irish boy named Lorcan. On this ship, the captain wheres a mask, everyone sleeps during the day, and things appear out of thin air.

Meanwhile, Connor is rescued by Cheng Li. Connor is on a pirate ship captained by Molucco Wrathe.

Both Connor and Grace want nothing more then to be together again. But when the time comes, they both choose to stay where they are.

There are many secrets aboard the ship that rescued Grace, and it goes way back into her past. Connor loves his new life as a pirate too. Will they ever be together again?
