I'll be honest. I have no idea how to review a manga...comment on the pictures, the characters, the cover? I honestly have no clue. so please bear with me.

If you haven't already guessed, I don't read manga. However, I'm going to Japan this summer and it's always good to expand horizons, so I've been trying to. Fruits Basket was surprisingly good. I repeatedly found myself chuckling and it was just so...random...that I loved it! The artwork was amazing, the characters were fresh. My only issue was the Japanese-name thing. There were times I got the characters confused but I'm pretty sure I got the hang of it by the ending. I now have the next two on hold at my library and I look forward to reading them. If you're new to manga, like me, Fruits Basket was great!

Fruit Basket by Natsuki Takaya is the first manga i ever read at it was great. First off I would like to say that i think it is so cool how these books are read backwords. This book is very interesting and has a lot of comediy. It is also cool to read a book that also has pictures that follow the words. Yeh that does sound kidish but you never know until you read it. I thought that i would be the last person in the world to ever read manga but i am glad i did, now i am hooked. I recommend this book to anybody who loves to read period.
