Midnight Predator (Den of Shadows #4)
Turquoise Draka is an assasin in a group of assasins called the Bruja Guild. She finds a job with another assasin to kill the vampire Jeshikah. To do this she pretends to be a slave and is sold to Jaguar, another vampire. What will happen to Turquoise? Will she be able to complete her job? Read Midnight Predator to find out.
This book is like all other Amelia Atwater-Rhodes books. It is fantastic! The plot is really good and the characters are really well developed. Everybody should read this fantastic book!
Turqiouse was once a weak person. She was helpless when her maser, Lord Daryl beat her and killed her family, but now after year of training with the Bruja, she has become stronger. She is now an assassin. Her mission is to kill Jeshikah, the once owner of Midnight where human slaves were sold and beaten. She must now sell herself as a slave and enter the vampire world.
Turqiouse becomes very close with the Midnight owner, Jaguar. Jaguar helps her escape, even though she did not kill Jeshikah. When she escapes Jaguar has her take Eric, another slave, yet like a son to Jaguar. Eric is 14, the same age her brother would have been if he didn't die.
As she reenters town , her life is getting back on track, or as normal as it was before Midnight. She runs into an old high school classmate, which brings back memories of what she used to want to do when she was Catherine, not the murdering Turqiouse. Wil she go back to life before the Bruja, or continue risking her life each day?
A wonderful read absolutely action packed and full of suspence!!!! Iread this book 8 times it is very addicting!!! Have fun reading it I did.!!!!!!!!!!!
Turquoise is a vampire hunter on a mission to take down the city of Midnight, a haven for vampires and human slaves. While she pretends to be a human slave to take down the two leaders Jeshikah and Jaguar, she meets an enemy from her past. In this story of action and adventure, romance is mixed in when Turquoise and Jaguar fall in love, obviously complicating the situation. I loved this book and it is one of my favourite of all of Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' books.
Midnight Predator is the story of Torquoise Drako or Catherine as she used to be known as. She was a teenager when a vampire killed her family and made her his slave. She managed to escape and dedicated her life to becoming a vampire hunter sparing none. Everything changes when she is assigned her most emotionally disturbing mission yet... to pose as a slave and enter Midnight headquarters (a haven for vampires and for many humans the place of their deaths. Her assignment, to assasinate Jeshikah a powerful vampire who once led Midnight in its glory. Jeshikah will stop at nothing to bring Midnight to its once great power, even kill her own kind. Torquoise is assigned to be the slave of Jaguar the leader and rebuilder of Midnight and is surprised when she discovers the evil, ruthless man she heard so many rumors about is compassionate and merciful. Torqouise struggles trying to escape from her haunting past that visits her in her sleep and wont leave her alone. Memories of her father and brother whom she feels died because of her. Torquoise or Catherine must come to face with her past if she ever has any hope of surviving in Midnight... and in the outside world. This book was incredible once aagin the author manages to make the reader lose themself in the book. THe coverby the way shouldn't stop you from reading it, I admit it's isn't very flattering however the book inside is what counts. No offense to those who think the cover does the book justice.
A dark and exotic read from the master of vampiric novels, Amelia-Atwater Rhodes. I can't even begin to describe how good this book is, but I will give it a shoot. An unconventional love story equally balanced by suspence and action. A must read for any vampire novel lover!
Amazing book.. i wont say anything about it.. dont wanna ruin it.. but yea.. read it.. kind of bittersweet ending though.. its good.. but its kind of like.. its over!?!?!?!?
