Oh la la! (French Manicure #1)
French Manicure is a light-hearted comedy series with a cast of endearing characters. Club Cendrillon's laugh-out-loud adventures will give readers a refreshing glimpse at life in the South of France and quick-witted Marguerite will share her thoughtful and sarcastic comments on life, school and friendship.
Episode One: Oh la la!
When Marguerite, Charlotte, Madeleine and Benedicte promised themselves to spend the first week of school out of trouble, they thought it was, like, doable. This time, they wanted everything to be perfect.
But then, scheming siblings, ruthless teachers and not-so-evil stepmothers came into the picture - and things just spiraled out of control.
Does Prince Charming really exist?&Who knows? Maybe he really does exist, but then he must be very, very uncommon and an endangered species. It even made me think about the fact that it is sad that we have no Associations of Protection of Prince Charming because if it continues like that, believe me, well soon lose them all.
French Manucure: Girls and the High School marks the first book in a brand new genre: the eSitcom book. Its just like a real sitcom with seasons and episodes, only in eBook format. This first episode introduces us to the Cinderella Gang: Victoria, Madeleine, Charlotte, and Bènèdicte. These French teenagers are back in school after a summer break, and are totally ready to live life up.
Things are bound to get more interesting when a hottie Spanish student shows up at the local high school. Charlotte thinks shes found her prince charming, but the rest of the gang arent too sure. Who is right? Youll have to read the book to find out.
French Manucure offers an insightful look at the French teens lives, mostly because the author is one herself! Despite a few lost in translation moments, the dialogue is witty, real, and very fun to read. I look forward to finding out what happens to the Cinderella gang in the next episode.
