21 Proms is a collection of short prom stories from the current and best young adult authors. From Aimee Friedman, author of Hollywood Hills to E. Lockhart, author of Dramarama, there is a wide range of popular young adult authors included in this collection. No doubt, one of your favorite authors is featured!

The stories vary dramatically, from a story about a girl who ends up with three dates to prom, to the story of a boy who is in love with a gorilla, and takes a gorilla to prom, much to the chagrin of his parents. Theres even a story about a cult-like Latin club that plays a seriously twisted joke on prom night, courtesy of Holly Black. No matter if youre a teen who will probably never attend a prom, or the president of student government and likely prom queen, you are sure to enjoy these delightful short stories that symbolize one of the major rites of passage of the teenage years. Reminisce about your own prom heaven or disaster. If youve never been to prom, think fondly of your favorite teenage movies like 10 Things I Hate About You or Shes All That.

If I had to pick a couple of favorite short stories, I would have to say The Great American Morp by John Green is definitely one of my favorites. Its the tale of a girl who throws her own backwards prom party on prom night, a morp. Who said that you had to be at prom to have a good time? Better Be Good To Me by Daniel Ehrenhaft is another story that I loved. Its a dads story of his own prom night, told to his daughter right before she leaves for her prom. He ends up losing his virginity to his best friends date, who is now his wife. I guess sometimes everything really does work out for the best.

From stories that will make you giggle with glee, to thought-provoking stories with hidden meanings, 21 Proms tells the story of prom night in so many different languages. No two proms are ever the same.

I simply adored reading 21 Proms that I reread it again and again and again! It's a book that features 21 different stories all realting to you-know-what: Prom! Each piece is unique and each has a new spin on what Prom is really like and all the weird things that happen on this once-in-a-lifetime event that every high schooler looks forward to going to.

There's a story about a morp: A backwards prom. Come in a freaky costume and have fun! No dresses, no lame music, and no expectations! Another features a vampire hunter who must kill the vampire after her best friend, with some help from a smug boy of course. When a boy notices something weird about the Latin club and the sudden lust in every person at the prom, just how can he solve it? In love with your best friend's girlfreind? Got three dates to Prom instead of one? Dating your brother's best friend without him knowing? If you have, then you would know exactly what some of the charcters go through on this single night.

What's best about this book is that you don't have to read it in order. You can start from the end and go backwards or begin right in the middle. Each story is unrelated, letting you enjoy 21 different stories all conveniently in a book. Just pick a story and enjoy!

21 Proms is great. It is one book made up of 15 completely different stories from completly different authors. There are stories about the "typical"prom to stories of very odd not what you would expect proms. There is something for everyone in here even if you have never or will never go to a prom. some of the authors include E. Lockhart and Aimee Friedman.

I think this book was boring. It had 21 different stories of proms. They were hard to follow on some of them and not my type of book. I think each one of these stories could be good, but they would need to be longer to appeal to me. I think that the idea of 21 authors getting together to create 21 chapters was cool. I like many of the authors that wrote, but I think that they should stick to what they normally write. I think if you like reading short stories then you will like this book. This is probably for people fourteen or older.

This book is basically good if you enjoy prom season, or at least reading about it. I like that is has more than 15 great stories, all in different forms. Some are like in poem format, some in periods of time format, etc. I like some of the stories more than others, but that's because different authors of different skill levels write them. You should be able to find at least one story you like.

These stories are funny, sad, memorable, disastrous, and just plain strange. One of my favorites was the story of dress-hating, heel-hating, bra-hating Emilie in You Are a Prom Queen, Dance Dance Dance. It was so interesting but not as funny as John Green's The Great American Morp. The Morp was thrown by rebel chicks Maggie and Carly who wanted an anti-prom party. Daniel Ehrenhaft's Better Be Good to Me, was also a great story in which Zack remembers his prom and being in love with his best friend's girlfriend. Some of the best authors around are included in this amazing book, I highly recommend it.
