THE CLIQUE is back...
Massie Block: With her glossy brunette bob and Whitestrip smile, Massie is the uncontested ruler of The Clique and the rest of the social scene at Octavian Country Day, an exclusive private school in Westchester County, New York.
Claire Lyons: Has finally arrived! But will she be able to stay in Massie's inner circle?
Alicia Rivera: Would love to take Massie's throne one day. Just might do it.
Dylan Marvil: Massie's second in command, who divides her time between sucking up to Massie and sucking down Atkin's shakes.
Kristen Gregory: Will insult you to tears faster than you can say "scholarship kid."
THE CLIQUE...The only thing harder than getting in is staying in.

The Pretty Committee is still expelled from O.C.D. and things are looking glum. After a spying session to see what’s happening at O.C.D. during their absence, the Pretty Committee (much to their horror) find that they have been replaced by a new clique—Da Crew. Will Massie and friends get back into O.C.D. and reclaim their spot at the top of the social pyramid, or are they doomed to public school or worse for the rest of their lives?

Lucky for the girls, a stroke of luck hits them and they’re off to meet two famous teen starlets when Dylan’s mom manages to get Abby Boyd and Hadley Durk on her show, the Daily Grind! The Pretty Committee is off to meet Hollywood’s hottest starlets! However, some bloopers occur and the girls accidentally reveal a juicy secret that has Hadley Durk storming off the interview. But with a star gone, there’s room for another! Massie, Claire, and Alicia have been invited to audition for Hadley’s former role! Will the trio stick together and remain friends; no matter who gets picked, or will it been just tears and cat fights?

A disbelieving and indignant Massie Block is finally getting a taste of being in the shadows—Claire has won Hadley’s part! (It’s about time that girl learned that she’s not always the best and not always the most important!) Now Massie and Alicia has to watch Claire on the movie sets with hot teen actor Connor, get interviewed, have her own stylists and make up artists, while they must accept the fact that they’ll be headed home soon, fame-less. But what good would that story be? Massie and Alicia get lucky again as they score roles as movie-set correspondents for The Daily Grind. Looks like the trio will be in Hollywood for a while longer!

Of course, nothing goes completely smoothly in Hollywood. Beneath all the glitz and glamour, there’s betrayal, jealousy, and pretense. With free clothes and goods and sweet photo shoots, Claire is enjoying her new too-good-to-be-true life, but Hollywood’s ugly side will soon show its face. Nothing’s private in Hollywood, not with photographers lurking around every corner, waiting for the next big juicy secret that will capture everyone’s interests. And when embarrassing moments are caught on film and distributed across the nation, life in Hollywood won’t seem so snazzy anymore…

Can all of the Pretty Committee hold together, or will Da Crew replace them forever? Will O.C.D. ever take them back? Can Massie, Claire, and Alicia survive Hollywood’s pressure and remain friends? Will scandal ruin relationships and puncture some over-inflated egos or will the stars remain level-headed and cool?

For all you Clique fans out there, it’s nice to see Claire snag the lead role (literally!) instead of stuck-up ol’ Massie. I can’t say I like Massie all that much—she overestimates herself, is incredibly vain, and seems to get away with anything. But life’s not always fair. This Clique novel is pumped with as much drama as the others in the series! Will Claire’s stardom extend? Where will the Pretty Committee end up next? Hopefully these questions will be answered soon!
