The Secret Under My Skin
This book is about a poor girl from the future who doesnt even know her name. Let's call her person 'A'. 'A' lives at a workhouse and thinks she is going to be doing this the rest of her life, but she is wrong. Dead wrong.
She ends up working for a stuck-up girl, a kind woman of high power and an ex-liberty fighter. 'A' is happy with her true life and even learns her name, but with her past prove tragic? You should read and find out.
If I had to rate this out of five stars I would say a 3. The reason I say a 3 and not a 4 is because the writer could have done so much more with the whole future theme. Also they didn't really explain the backgrounds of any of the side characters.
This book is suitable for children 10 years old and up but maybe hard for children 11 and under to read on their own.
