Pretty Little Devils
Author Nancy Holder weaves a wicked tale about the price of popularity, and having the kind of friends some girls would just die for.
This book would have been in my top ten had it not been for the last couple pages. The ending very much reminded me of how Stephen King ends his novels. It felt rushed and unoriginal. The last page is fantastic. However, the 2 or 3 pages before it were so awful that it nearly crossed it out.
Keep in mind this is my personal opinion and that I mean no offense twoards the author or any fans.
This book isn't your typical "joining the in crowd book", Because someone's trying to hurt the in crowd!I guessed who it was in about 3 chapters but maybe thats because I read way to much R.L Stine! The author did throw me for a loop at the end when a certain someone (I don't want to say who because it'll ruin it) was blamed for all of it! she sort of deserved it though. I would recommend this book to anyone who's tired of reading the same bubblegum plot line again and again.
Pretty Little Devils is a creepy, but juicy read. Watch the girls at Brookhaven High fight for popularity.
Pretty Little Devils (PLDs) is the exclusive, most popular clique at Brookhaven High rivaled only by the cheerleader crowd. For Hazel, she is dying to be popular and her dreams come true when Sylvia, head of the Pretty Little Devils, offers her a chance to be a PLD. Hazel is suddenly surrounded by wannabe friends and guys are noticing her. But the popularity comes at a price...and that's when things get creepy.
This book is a mix of a Lois Duncan suspense novel and a Gossip Girl story. The ending could've been better though in my opinion.
