The Circle Opens: Shatterglass
Shatterglass marks the end of the Circle Opens series. Like her three foster siblings, Tris has also gone traveling abroad with her teacher Niko. When she discovers a glass-mage named Kethlun whose magic has been mixed with lightning after an unfortunate accident she agrees to teach him as the only expert lightning mage in the area. As both struggle to control their temper Kethlun, creates a lightning glass ball that reveals clues to the identify a serial murderer. The criminal, known to the police as The Ghost, attacks young women who live in the entertainment district and leaves their bodies on public monuments. Now Tris must get Keth to perfect his new powers so they can catch the thief before its two late.
This book is great! Having read all of the books in both Circle series, this is by far my favorite one out of all 8 books. More than just a fantasy novel, the plot combines elements of magic and mystery into one great piece of reading material. It grabbed my attention from the start, and it was often very hard to put down when it was time for me to go to bed. I also liked it because Ive always kinda identified with Tris because her personality is very similar to mine. We both have temper problems. One of my all time favorites, it would be a shame to pass this one up.
