Invasion of the Boy Snatchers was another great book of the Clique Series. The Characters are Massie Block, who is rich and the leader of the Clique, Alicia Rivera, rich and once tried to start her own clique but wasn't successful, Dylan Marvil, who's mother is the talkshow host of the Daily Grind and wants to loose some weight, Kristin Gregory, who is poor and going to Octavian Country Day School on a scholarship. She also has a job at the mall to earn some extra money. Then there is Claire Lyons. She and her family moved to the Block's guesthouse and finally is fitting in at her new school. Then comes Nina, Alicia's cousin from Spain. Massie thought she had nothing to worry about with Nina's poor sense of fashion but she was wrong. All the guys at Briarwood are in love with her. Will the Clique stay on top?
At Nina's big welcome party, Massie thought Nina would be a geek with the pictures that she saw of her before. It turns out Nina becomes popular. The Briarwood boys are crazy about her and everything she wears becomes the latest trend. The Clique try to think of a plan to get rid of her and send her back to Spain where she belongs. They try a few plans but aren't very successful. They try to make gum stick to her high heeled boots but that doesn't work. It turned out to be another fashion statement. They also try to tell everyone not to wear what Nina wears and to wear what they want to. That definetly does't work. The last plan works though. This plan takes weeks to costruct and they hope it will really work. Nina tries to steal the Cliques crushes and they don't have anyone to go to their Valentine's day Dance with. Nina put a "Spanish Victory Spell" on the boy's soccer team. It is completely fake but the soccer team still believes it because they really want to win the tournament. The spell says that the boys can't talk to the ones they love. Nina then asked the team to go to the dance with her and they agree. At the lovestruck (Valentine's Day) Dance, the Clique launches their plan. First, they saw Nina's heel with a little saw but not all the way because when she dances it will break. Next, when she falls and breaks her heel, pictures fall from the ceiling of her in Spain. The pictures are really embarrising and Nina goes home to Spain. The Clique is so happy to get rid of her and they go to the boy's soccer game. The team looses their big championship but after, Claire and Massie get their first kiss. They were so excited about that. The boys tell the girls that they couldn't go to the dance with them because of the spell and they understand. Nina was really a theif and a liar.
hi, I'm Princess <3
I Love the Clique :)!
they're soo awsome
even though Massie is a snotty b-
but she sounds really cool and sure of herself
lol, even though shes taking advantage of the fact
that shes popular :)
I heart alicia, Kris, and Dyl
Even though I'm not that fond of Claire, I don't know why
I have read the serious, but i haven't finished them yet. But i hope i have the chance.
I thought this book was amazing, at first it's a little boring but you just have to get past that and read!
i don't like reading but these books caught my attention.
I loved how the "Clique" was so popular before Nina came in.
It showed me what people can really be like.
Over all i thought this book was amazing!!
Thank you Lisi...
The fourth book in the Clique series begins with a secret. Massie knows Claire is moving away, although Claire has no idea --- and it's killing Massie! Claire is the sister Massie never had, and Massie already misses her. So when Claire's father announces the move, Claire is the shocked one.
However, Massie's father talks them into staying by offering more pay and a totally rebuilt guest house. In the meantime, Claire's family will stay in Massie's house during the renovation. Massie is thrilled that Claire is staying, but she is NOT thrilled to have a roommate. She loves her room the way it is, plus she knows her other friends will be envious of the new living arrangements.
Speaking of envy, Alicia's cousin, Nina, is visiting from Spain. She is too beautiful and way too flirtatious with Massie and Claire's crushes. All the boys are very impressed. Some of Massie's clique are also impressed with Nina's fashion style and experience with boys --- and that burns Massie up.
As the Valentine's Day dance approaches, excitement bubbles through Massie's group. In order to take the guy they like to the dance, they must shoot him with a Velcro-tipped arrow. Of course, Massie has her eye on not only going with Derrington, but also for them to be crowned as the most popular couple, with the prestigious Cupid Award. However, Nina announces she can (and will) arrow every one of their crushes if the clique isn't nice to her.
As the roommate situation worsens, Massie's things start vanishing. Massie turns accusatory. Can she discover who the thief is? Will she dethrone Nina?
Once again, the mean girls make for intriguing reading. Although many of their actions continue to be cringe-worthy, they occasionally show a hint of heart. The frequent brand name dropping is fun (although it may date the series in the near future): Massie describes the feeling she gets around her crush as "...weak and tingly, like all the cells in her body had turned into Diet Coke bubbles...." Other amusing bits of whimsy include Claire telling fortunes with candy hearts and Kristen speaking in word jumbles ("Rorsy" for "Sorry"). The situation with the newcomer sets up some explosive reactions. It all makes for another installment of fun escape reading for Clique series fans to devour with gusto.
The book Invasion of the Boy Snatchers is a great book. In this clique novel Alicia's cousin comes for a visit and has all the boys staying away from the pretty committee. But what the girls don't know is there was a reason the boys why the boys where staying away from them that was out of thier hands and had nothing to do with them.
This is a great book for ages 12 and up!! I greatly recomend this book!!
Nina, alicia's cousin is back and she is stealing the crushes of all of the girls in the clique. What will everyone do? Alicia cannot say anything, because that is her cousin, who is outrageously hot. The last time Massie saw her, she was totally ugly, and now, she's a boy snatching hottie! Wait till the end though, it gets good!
I loved this book and all the others that has been writen I am not that far tho I just got done with this book. I would like to tell the other that she did an AWSOME job!!!! If you have not read any of these books I encourage everyone to try. I think you would very much ENJOY IT!!!!!!!!
~~~ I read the BESTS books EVER!!!
This was another great Clique book by Lisi Harrison! It talks about things that could really happen and has a great moral! I loved this book, but if youre not into realistic fiction, then you might not like it. If you do read this book, though, make sure you read the first 3 Clique books beforehand. If you try to read them out of order, then you will ruin all of the suprises! By the way, the first three books are The Clique, Best friends for Never, and Dial L for Loser.
This was the most horrific book i have ever opened, and that is including the Koran and Hustler 1987 spring edition. At no point in the incoherrent rambling on of nonsense did a plot even begin to form. The novel portrayed no rational thought,and I feel my I.Q. has dropped significantly from reading it. Although some understanding has come to me from this book. I know understand why the NAZIS had frequent book burnings during Hitlers rule.
Nina V. Massie.
Is the clique breaking up. Oh god.when i started reading this book I COULDNT STOP. i was soooo scared the Pretty comittee was gonna split up. All i could think about was Nina the sex machina HAS TOO GO! and i knew exactly how Massie felt cause something like this happend too me before Exactly this year. The only one of my friends who stayed with me and understood me was My friend Gabby. This book, sadly, reminds me a lot of my own life. But add ten times the Drama... So the whole time i was reading this book i felt as if i were massie and i thought i was gonna throw the book into the fireplace Nina made me so mad. But what also made me mad about this book was when claire wouldnt stop obbsessing over Cam. I mean he sounds hott and sweet and stuff BUT it's like dont make it so obvious. agreed with massie its a major turn off. invasion of the boy snatchers was one of my fav. of the clique books. but my FAVORITE of all time was The Pretty Committe Strikes Back & its Not Easy Being Mean. those were amazing. Anyways. <3 heart u
