ehh this isn't the best teen book i've read. it's a bit boring and it seems like everything was written by a teen who's trying to pretend to be famous or something. the characters are okay, except for the boyfriend. he's kinda a loser. not the best, but not the worst.

Gossip Girl character Jenny Humphrey is ready to start boarding school after being asked to leave Constance Billard in New York City. Waverly Academy is out in the country and the perfect place for Jenny to start her new persona --- someone who doesn't make embarrassing mistakes or get into trouble. Right.

To start off, she mistakenly has been assigned to the boys' dorm. Then her two new roommates, Callie Vernon and Brett Messerschmidt, are not talking to each other due to some big scandal that went down at the end of the last school year. Both are dealing with some pretty serious issues of their own as well, and Jenny observes it all happening.

Rumors are flying about her past life in New York, and Jenny tries to quash that nonsense while fighting the crush she's developing for Easy, the boyfriend of one of her roommates. He ends up getting caught in her room on her bed --- instead of with his girlfriend, who he had been coming to visit. Now Jenny has to decide if she wants to tell on her roommate and Easy, or go through the Disciplinary Committee hearing, which may get her kicked out of Waverly.

But she likes Waverly. Boy trouble and rumors aside, Jenny has found a talent for field hockey and even makes the varsity team. She is invited to some hot parties and likes the art classes. In order to stay at the academy and remain popular, the New Jenny must deal with a handful --- New York City was never this complicated.

THE IT GIRL is an interesting start to a series that is sure to attract the many fans of Gossip Girl.

The novel is about a 15 year old Jenny Humphrey. ThiShe is sucked into the world of rich and stuck up populars. She at first glance seems like all the other kids in the group. She is deep and is not rich. She is close to her brother,Dan, from Gossip Girl. She wants to fall in love and fit in. Gossip Girl then you will love The It Girl. The character's personalities aren't as shallow as we thought. This novel takes a couple chapters to trap you in, but once you get into it there is no stopping. There are 3 more books and one coming out soon.

This new series is a spin off from the Gossip Girl series (which I recommend if you haven't read any yet).

Jenny Humphrey went to Constance Billard in NYC with the others from the Gossip Girl series and 'kind of' got kicked out. She wanted to start over in a fresh place with people who don't know anything about her.

Well, the popular crowd at her new boarding school Waverly Academy are gossips too. There are already many rumors going around about Jenny and who she really is. She learns that she can just ignore the rumors and have fun flirting and partying like the rest of the popular crowd.

I hope this series stays as good as the first book and doesn't go downhill like the Gossip Girl series did.

This was an amazing book. I could still see some of the Gossip Girl characters repersented in some new people, but it was suddel enough that it wasn't compleaty like a clone. Jenny goes off to a bording school in upstate New York where she thinks her past problems can be fixed. But instead of fixing thme, she gets more. I would have to say i liked Jenny a lot more now. My favorite part was the unexpected twist on the very last page that will defentlity lead to a sequel. I can't wait for the next one to come out!

In Cecily von Ziegesar's new series, Gossip Girl character Jenny Humphrey leaves Manhattan to attend boarding school at the elite Waverly Academy in upstate New York. Jenny is determined to start completely over from who she was at Constance Billard, and create a new, cool, chic persona. Jenny knows she's up for a challenge when her new roomates are the best friends of the former Waverly Academy It Girl, but she's up for it. Nothing can deter her from her path to being elevated to It Girl status. Not her roomates, not the Disciplinary Committe, nothing. This book gives insight into a new side of Jenny Gossip Girl readers had not been previously privy to, and serves up a whole new set of scandals, intrigue, and gossip. Fans of Gossip Girl will love this new read, but it is not neccessary to have read it to enjoy The It Girl.

The It Girl is about a girl named Jenny Humphrey. Jenny is the new girl and will be attending Waverly Academy and is set on climbing to the top of the social ladder, whatever it takes. Jenny's roomates, Callie Vernon and Brett Messerschmidt are the most popular girls in the school. But will Jenny risk getting in trouble to make friends with them?

The It Girl was a book that contained all the essentials in the girl world. Gossip, guys, and intrigue. It also had many innuendos, so I recommend this book for ages 15+.

Jenny who many knwo as dan's younger sister overshadowed by her rocker brother in the gossip girl series has finally shone readers her true colors in the it girl. tHe it girl is the sotry of Jenny goign to a boarding school called Waverly academy where she hopes to start over ad become the "it" girl like sorry a gossip girl reference "serena" or "Blair" i the upper east side. Her first day is a sign she's in for... interesting surprises when se discovere sthat she's been accidentally placed in the boy's dorm not that she'd ave a problem with that. This novel involves love, growing up, hilarious incidents mixed with everyday emabresing moments and the frequent references to designer brands which for some peope might be annoying or shallow. I would recomend this book for beach reading something to do during the summer when your waiting to go somewhere whether it be the milion hour car ride to someplace its perfect!

This new series by the author of Gossip Girl is just as intoxicating as the original. The only thing is that it is too extreme. Not many readers can relate to this world of high fashion, rich kids at a very expensive boarding school where everything revolves around dating exclusive boys, going to parties, and having the best designer clothes. But I also think it is exactly this that pulls readers in. Readers are interested in this other world. Most of it was kind of slow and dull. Parties, boys, crush on a teacher, sex. And there is a lot of reference to designer brands, which got kind of got annoying. I think the Gossip Girl books are good, too. But if you like reading about this elite world in boarding school, this book is just your thing. it is interesting reading about Jenny's rise to the top at Waverly school. The ending leaves you hanging and wanting to find out what is going to happen next when Waverly's real It Girl returns to school. Will Jenny survive? Read to find out! Overall, it was a good book that did keep me hooked. It really is a pleasure reading book.
