Everyone who's anyone in New York City is suffering from post-college-application cabin fever and it's time to run a little wild! Could it be that Serena is smitten with Blair's stepbrother or will the Fashion Week parties pull her away from any attempt at true love? Dan and Vanessa are mad about each other and pursuing their creative dreams -- but be careful of what you wish for. Nate hits an all-time low as Blair's Yale interview with a tall, handsome alum takes an unexpected turn and Jenny makes a new friend who gets a little too close for comfort. And just who is going to get into college early acceptance? Wintertime has never been hotter in NYC as things steam up all over Fifth Avenue.

BECAUSE I'M WORTH IT is the fourth book in the Gossip Girl series. The catfights, breakups and shakeups continue.

This book is appropriately titled, not only because of the pop culture reference, but because we see a bit more of the characters one-on-one, without their significant others. For example, Nate attends rehab and manages to go from addict to hero. This is not the same Nate we met in book one. Blair is as love-hungry as ever, falling for an older man, while her best friend Serena dazzles every boy and man in her path. Artsy outsiders Vanessa and Dan continue their pursuits in film and poetry, respectfully, while pining for each other.

As with the previous books in the series, BECAUSE I'M WORTH IT teeters between being coy to being outright racy. High school students and adults alike continue to rave about this series.

"Welcome to New York City's Upper East Side, where my friends and I live fabulously, go to school occasionally, and play - constantly.

Enter the world of Gossip Girl - a world of jealousy and betrayal, where everything is hip, beautiful, and far more fantastic than anything you ever imagined.

It's February and most cities are a cold, gray wasteland. But not New York. At least, not my New York. Our college applications are in and it's time to blow off some steam. Best of all, Fashion Week is just around the corner, giving us plenty of opportunities to get dressed up and go completely wild. And just think: The later you stay out, the quicker the days will blur by."

This was my favorite Gossip Girls book so far. I really liked the first one, but then was kind of bored by the next couple. This one, however, was good again. I actually found my self excited to continue reading and couldn't pay attention in class because I kept trying to read.

My favorite characters were present again (Vanessa, Blaire, and Jenny, Aaron), as well as the characters I love to hate (Serena, Daniel, and Nate). And there were a whole new set of outrageous happening that kept you reading - even though you know that their lives are totally ridiculous.

I'm really not into just reading about upper class teens living in NYC who go to parties, do drugs, and other mature, but also not so mature things. But the Gossip Girl series is just addicting. It makes you want to read on and find out more, like a guilty pleasure. In this book it's spring time. The students are waiting for thier early decisions into the top universities and also for fashion week. Gossip Girl keeps all of NYC up-to-date on all that's happening with the most elite girls and guys around the city. Blair is trying to win her chance of getting into Yale after her messed up interview, Serena is becoming a superstar and model, Dan is becoming a mega poet, Vannessa is rising up because of her amazing video, Jenny is trying to deal with her big boobs and finding love, Nate is dealing with his drug problem in rehab, and he's loving it. The thing is that everything connects. All the people in this book are linked, but so much different things are going on in each chapter. It's a real page turner. I cannot wait to dive into the next Gossip Girl novel. This series is really amazing and sophisticated.

In the 4th edition of gossip girl, college is just around the corner. Some seniors are getting their early acceptance letters and some have to wait. But everyone is already in party mode.

Jenny meets a new girl Elise, and they bond over the body image problems they have. Dan and Vanessa finally have sex, but after that, they start to drift apart because both of them are turning famous. Dan's poem, Sluts, was printed in the New Yorker and Vanessa's film career is going great. In order to get another chance to get into Yale, Blair transforms her image to resemble Audrey Hepburn, her idol. Nate is still a drug addict, and one day he's busted by the cops and sent to rehab. Serena and Aaron go out and they are the hottest couple in NYC. The biggest event coming up is fashion week, and Serena is asked to model and Vanessa is asked for permission to use her film as a backdrop. Everyone starts to think that Chuck is gay.

Blair goes for her interview and she falls in love with Owen Wells, who is twice as old as her. Nate meets this girl named Georgia, a stoner, in rehab. He is attracted to her, though she's not his normal type of girl. He saves her from killing herself. Jenny and Elise experiment with kissing each other. Jenny feels very uncomfortable and guilty. Dan is asked to go to a poetry reading and he meets another peot, Mystery Craze. He hooks up with her, even though he already has a girlfriend. Throughout the fashion show, Serena forgets about Aaron. They break up, and Serena is really upset. Blair realizes that the man she was making out with was the father of someone she knew. She decided to go to rehab with Nate and she admitted that she was a bulimic. And Jenny meets Leo, the boy she has a crush on. Vanessa gives up a great filmmaking opportunity. At the end, the only person who ends up happy is Jenny.

This book was great, but it left so many more cliffhangers, hopefully hinting to a 5th book. Who gets into college early? Who is the child of Owen Wells? Do Nate and Blair get back together? And could gossip girl actually be a guy? Read the book to find the answers to all these questions and more!

If you love the gossip girl books, pick this one up. It surely won't be a disappointment. I didn't like the Dan and Vanessa parts, but their story gets more interesting and complicated in this book. I just don't like the parts with gossip girl. Gossip Girl seems so conceited. Other than that, it's a great, quick read that will keep you reading until you finish.
