Almost everyone knows the story of The Turtle and the Hare as we're taught that being fast doesn't automatically win you the race. Well, this book features a collection of that one and other popular fables from Aesop for children to learn some valuable life lessons. The author also addresses how stories have always been told, even before paper, and will continue to be told, like Aesop's fables.

TOLD AND RETOLD: AROUND THE WORLD WITH AESOP'S FABLES is a thought-provoking children's book that gives the new generation a look at classic stories we grew up hearing. This book to me is a way of carrying on tradition and breathing life into these fables over and over again. The illustrations are bold and as unique as the fables, which makes this version stand out from other books. The lines around the images are pronounced and the details will capture any wandering eyes. I enjoyed teaching my daughter the meaning behind each fable and along with being a great learning tool, it's also perfect for some bonding time.

Final Verdict: I would recommend this to parents who enjoy reading with their children or for those children interested in classics and animals. As a child, I learned from these fables, so I love seeing them being retold. Sharing them with my daughter brought a smile to both of our faces.
