Another great series by Rick Riordan! Hilarious, full of adventure and fast paced. I loved how Riordan interpreted Egyptian mythology with modern day teenagers. With new gods, characters, and magical settings, this series is definitely for fans of Percy Jackson!

I actually really enjoyed the ending. Everything was well and tied up in the end, but it also left a little wiggle room if Rick ever decided to do a spin-off or some sort of continuation.

Some of my favorite bits were Carter's random comments about the weird goings on in Percy-land (though he has no idea what they are.)

Rick did a good job once again with the balance of humor and serious stuff. There was a lot of times where I was hanging on every word waiting to see what happened next and right when things seemed to be getting too intense he'd throw in something like Sadie convincing the hunting goddess that she'd had unspeakable encounters with Jelly Babies.

All in all, I really enjoyed the Kane Chronicles. Percy Jackson will always be number one in my book when it comes to Rick Riordan, but I'd definitely read more Kane Chronicles-related stories if he were to write them.

My favorite sister bought me this conclusion to Rick Riordan's Kane Cronicles trilogy for my birthday and I was so excited for it, especially since I loved the first two installments. What I was looking forward to: the slaying/banishment of Apophis, emotional resolution between the Kane siblings and their parents, finding some way to save both Bes and Walt, and happy romantic endings for Carter and Sadie.

Verdict: 3.5 stars

I love Rick Riordan's books, he is writing genius. It must take forever to come up with all the hilarious jokes that appear in the best of situations, or maybe even the worst ones (like a giant Chaos snake trying to eat you!). There were jokes in here that made you laugh aloud. Sadie and Carter's little disagreements that were included in the recording were so funny! Rick Riordan is full of witty comments and heaps of sarcastic replies that makes this book so much more hilarious and exciting, you never knew what stupid pun was coming next.

It must of taken years to research all the facts of Egyptian mythology, with all the forgotten gods and egyptian words that I never even knew existed. He would of have to look up the hieroglyphs for all the spells casted as well as the words in our alphabet. It seems so impossible that he would of been able to discover all these facts, he must of created some up, but the style of how this book was written made it seem real.

I think the ending was tied up pretty well, with a hint of other gods out there (greek and roman from Rick Riordan's other books). Maybe he may write another book in the future that connects these two different mythologies. The author finished Carter's and Sadie's tale pretty darn well. He made it come to an end, but also added a bit of a cliffhanger, like they may be another book written later on (I hope so!!)!

This book was fun and exciting, and all ages will enjoy this amazing tale of adventure, magicians and ugly dwarf gods! Maybe Riordan may write a new book on a different type of mythology all together, like Incan or some other religion that can be woven into a new story.

Amazing end to this series! This was probably my favorite book in the series. I said it once and I'll say it again: Rick Riordan is a genius.

I love that he wrote these books as recordings he transcribed. It was such an original idea. Carter and Sadie were hilarious to "listen" to. The things they said and did had me laughing out loud. This book included the author's trademark sarcasm and wit in the whole cast of eccentric characters.

Aside from being funny, Carter and Sadie were very likable characters. You really wanted them to finally defeat Apophis and save the ones they loved. They were always so brave in whatever crazy situation they were in, despite still being kids. In short, they were awesome.

Another thing you gotta love about these books is the pacing. There is nonstop action from the beginning. You are stuck in this journey with the characters throughout the book and never want to see it end. All the cool Egyptian mythology elements that Rick Riordan puts his classic spin on add to how easy of a read this is.

I really enjoyed the ending. The author tied up any lose ends (i.e. Walt and Anubis) but also left the story in a way in which more could be told. You never know, maybe we'll see more of Carter, Sadie, and our favorite Egyptian gods in the future.(I hope so!)

Overall: Love this book, this series, and Rick Riordan in general! Highly recommend his books to everyone!
