Somewhere in a marsh, a beaver builds its lodge, one that's sturdy and sound. A place that's in the center of the bustling nature and protects its inhabitants from predators. Around it, a goose finds items for its nest, a heron searches for food, and a moose chomps on some plants. There's so much activity around this one lodge until nature takes its shot, but that won't stop beavers from doing their thing.

THE LODGE THAT BEAVER BUILT teaches children about how resilient beavers are and how they build homes that can withstand most things. However, sometimes they get damaged from things we can't control, like flash floods. When this happens, the beavers simply find a new place to rebuild, starting all over each time. This teaches readers that when life knocks you down, you get right back up and rebuild. In the back of the book, there are some beaver facts to expand the reader's awareness of how incredible they are. While this is an educational book, the illustrations have a soft theme with dim colors.

Final Verdict: This book is a must have for children who love animals, especially for those who are intrigued by beavers and the dams they build. My daughter liked the wildlife going on around the beavers while they hang out safe in their lodge.
