What I liked:
A science nonemotional driven kingdom vs. a true emotional realm with a princess who is missing her mother escapes to find her and instead discovers more than she expected. The uniqueness of this story with its science tech, exciting competition, and wide variety of characters makes for a very satisfying escape from reality. The teenage characters act like teens in this indie book, making it come to life as you read about Piper and her desperate attempt to figure out an alien world in her science-educated mind.
Final Verdict:
The ending felt rushed as we came to a neck-breaking cliffhanger and a few vast reveals. The book is left open-ended, which leads me to believe that there is a series brewing on the horizon. If you are in the mood for a fun, light-hearted ya-read with a lovely slow-burn romance and unique worldbuilding, this may be the one you need.
