The Ghost Dancer is a great read if one likes exciting adventure.  Skeeter Irons, the 15 year old protagonist and his old Indian friend, Old John, remind me of two other similar characters named Huck and Jim.  Only Skeeter and old Jim's adventure is in the Grand Canyon and its Colorado River where Huck's and Jim's adventure was the great Mississippi.  Skeeter tells the story from his hospital bed as he writes it on him laptop.  This book is one of the best I have ever read.  Teens who like adventure will love it.
