‘Dinosaurs and Other Prehistoric Creatures’ by Arnaud Roi, illustrated by Charlotte Molas, includes ten awesome pop-ups, from land creatures to those in the sea. Each page names the dinosaur, along with the time period and region in which it lived, its maximum size and weight, and a paragraph of detail about it.

Readers will be interested to learn that the Argentinosaurus was the length of three school buses and it ate up to 880 pounds of plants a day and swallowed rocks! The Sarcosuchus was a prehistoric relative of modern crocodiles with more than 130 teeth. The Kronosaurus was a marine reptile that could be up to 36 feet long and 24,000 pounds in weight. The Tyrannosaurus, Utahraptor, Spinosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, and the Quetzalcoatlus—which wasn’t a dinosaur, but a flying reptile—round out the pages of the book that will make any prehistoric loving reader anxious to flip the pages and compare and contrast the facts they’ve learned about each creature.

Pop-up books are always fun, and this book not only brings about engagement, but thoroughly enjoyable facts that dinosaur lovers will be eager to share with their friends and family.
