I loved this book because it brought three different girls together in one summer. These three girls were brought together by unfortuante circumstances and by the end of the summer thye are the best of friends. This book has drama, romance, and intrigue all in one. If you like these things you'll definetly love Peaches.

This book was amazing. It showed that one place can control the fate of three girls. They grow to knwo themselves better, as well as each other. What is really important to them is respected by each other. It's a good read for anyone who A) loves peaches, B) loves romance, and C) loves adventure mixed witha little drama.

Murhpy is a trouble maker who cant seem to learn her lesson. Leeda is a rich girl with a lot of friends anf a great boyfriend, but not such a great mom. Birdie is a shy, home-schooled girl who has never had a real friend besides her two dogs. These three girls lived in entirely different worlds until one summer when they are all brought to the same georgia orchard and soon learn about life and friendship and have one of the best summers of thier lives.

I loved this book. It was hilarious and it made you feel likeyou could relate to at least one of the characters. It really reminded me of me and my friends, making me like it even more. Anyone looking for a good book to read should definently read this.

Each person has their own personality, and their own way of showing it. There are kids who are wild, delicate, and just plain lazy with a pinch of no fun in their life. But could one simple change in their life style change a person? Everyone today are these sort of people; stereotypic, yes, but it is the truth.
Three extremely different girls, end up learning the true meaning of friendship after spending a whole Spring break and summer together. Boys become their top discussion, and all the peaches imaginable.
It was spring time at the Darlington Orchard in Bridgewater, Georgia. Nothing but the scent of peaches roamed the air. About 100 acres and at least eighty-five trees per acre (47); people were already there, awaiting for their first job at the Darlington Orchard.
The Peach trees had tops that were low and dipped like a cereal bowl (34). Each tree had rows of white sandy dirt striping straight paths between them (34) and the branches were dotted with tiny fluorescent green spots.
Murphy McGowan, was a troubled teen. She was always getting herself into trouble. Murphy was missing from her own life and she didnt even know it (2). Her mother was always with a new guy every week, whose ages ranged from 18 to 30. Murphy never liked staying home. When Murphy decides to sneak into Walter Darlingtons house, little did she know, her life that spring was going to change.
Birdie Darlington, the daughter of Walter Darlington lives with the sweet aroma of peaches. All Birdie ever does is work and eat peaches. She never has time to have fun, or do what she wants. With her mother gone, she has become very lonely and sheltered; she is always by herself. To Birdies surprise, life is about to change when spring arrives. Boys will be on her mind and she will finally get her first time kiss. Be lonely anymore is not an option.
Leeda Smith is a very delicate, self conscious girl who didnt get a long with her family. She was loved by just about everyone except her mum (92). To Leeda, her mother cared more about her sister Danay than her. That summer, Leeda, Birdies cousin, decides to stay at Birdies house, at the Orchard to get away from her family. Leeda has everything: her boyfriend, friends, and a place to stay; she just doesnt have the attention she wants from her mother.
Neither of the three girls really enjoyed staying at Darlington Orchard that spring, but when it came time to leave, everyone's minds changed. That summer, each girl came back enjoying their stay with the delicious scent of Peaches in the air. They grew to become great friends who looked out for one another and loved the nature they were surrounded with.

The book Peaches is a very good book. It had a lot of different types of genre such as, romance, love, passion, comedy, and adventure. It is the type of story that gets you thinking about what may or may not happen next.
The book Peaches is a great book to relate life on. It deals with the life a teenager goes through with boys, family, and friends. The life styles they go through, are the life styles teens today deal with. I encourage everyone to read this book, even if the person is not a reader. Life is short, so make the best of it.
What I liked about this book was how the Author was so in-depth with every thing she described. When she described the Orchard, she was down to every detail about the trees and when she described the person, the author described every last detail that was on the characters leg. Also, in the beginning of the book, each chapter went to each character and how their life styles were. When they all were at the Orchard together was when the author changed the format of her writing. It went from each chapter of a different character to all three characters in the rest of the chapters. I thought that how she wrote everything was amazing.
What I disliked about the book was the fact that she had kept talking about something for a long period of time and that made it boring at times. Some parts are interesting, where other parts were not. It was pretty much easy to follow, but it would, at times, somewhat jump around. The sentences would talk about one thing, go to a whole other discussion, then back to the discussion previous to that.

This book was quite "sweet and delicious." Every time I picked it up I found it hard to put it down. I just kept reading because I was anxious to figure out what was going to happen next with the Darlington Peach Orchard or with all the relationships. The bond that the girls have in this book have changed the way that I view my friends, knowing that I don't know every single thing about them and not to judge them. This was truly a really good book and I would highly recommend it!

Birdie, Leeda, and Murphy have absolutely nothing in common, save for the fact that they have to spend the summer working in a peach orchard. Leeda, the debutante whose father owns the orchard, is being punished for dating Rex, who's from the wrong end of town. Murphy, the wild child, is being punished for sneaking onto the orchard one night with a guy from who knows where. Birdie, Leeda's slightly chubby cousin, isn't being punished, but her mother thinks the job could be good for her. Although the three girls couldn't be more different, working together every day for months is bound to bring them together -- right? Several "misunderstandings" in the beginning make it seem impossible. But as the summer wears on, the girls come to understand each other better, and they find themselves getting along. This story about unlikely friendship is sweet without being sickly so, and the girls' acceptance of each other and the lessons they learn are far from preachy. The writing and characters present make this book as juicy as the cover, and as delectable.

I love so many books, and this was one of my favorites. I love how these different girls all bond together, and their dedication to the Peach farm at the end of their stay. It shows that no matter what you look like, their is someone out their that will love you for who you are.

Peaches is a slow but pleasant read. Three very different girls spend their summer together picking peaches at a local orchard. They learn important lessons on life and think a lot about boys. Murphy McGowen is a daring girl with a wild reputation. Leeda Cawley-Smith is the rich, pretty, popular girl that everyone seems to envy. And Birdie is Birdie, sweet and shy. Together they become the best of friends and have a summer to remember.

i like the premise; three girls from different backgrounds bonded over a gruesome summer at a farm.and i also like the way the author jumped from the present to past. that helped explaining the girls background and also stirred some mysteries about their pasts.however, i'm a little disappointed, though. the story could heve been written better.
