Hi, my nickname's rubina and i love Mr Popper's Penguins. I was so sad when i found out the Atwater siblings didn't write any other books. It's about Mr Popper and his twelve penguin. The man trains them to earn money for the household. Mrs. Popper had to give up her refrigerator and flood the cellar just for the penguins.

I like the book as it's funny, exciting, and something new on almost every page. You'll like it if you're aged 8-12, i think.

I loved this book. It is very detailed and I like how the penguins are named after other characters in books. Even my math teacher thinks it's the best book ever.

I loved this book.It had some weird parts though.I`ll tell you some.First of all he gets a penguin in the mail.O.K that`s kinda wierd.Next he gets rich by teaching penguins tricks, but I can understand why.You see there not exactly wealthy, but they make enough money by panting houses. The first penguin he gets eats gold fish.then the next day he gets more penguins.Soon enough he has at least 100 penguins. They decied to put on a show.

I thought that this book was wouderful and full of adventures and surprises. When I had completed the first chapter about how he got a penguin in the mail, I looked at the cover. On it where twelve penguins! I thought that he only had one penguin and that made me wonder how he got all these penguins. In the end I found out that Captain Cook (Mr. Popper's first penguin) got lonely and so Mr. Popper got him a friend and they had babys. Then I relized why there where so many penguins on the front. ----

This was a good book. Well, not really. I think it's meant to be a book for 6 to 7 year olds, and the silly class-clownish boy in my class was reading it and recommended it. It was 130 pages, which made me smile. So I decided to read it. I feel a bit silly writing a review about it, as the book has a weird storyline. It's about a guy, Mr.Popper, who is a painter and gets a package from Antarctica with a penguin in it. This surprised me... Anyways, they build him a mini-freezer, and it's all far-fetched that only young children would believe why or what was happening. Still, even with a sort-of-nonsense storyline, there's still plot problems, like the penguin (Captain Cook = funny name) getting sick, mating with another penguin, Greta, and having lots of penguin babies. Soon, they perform... The whole time, I was thinking, 'It's not cold enough'. I don't really recommend this silly book.
