INCREDIBLE ANIMALS is a fascinating collection of animals by special skills, including clever camouflage, devoted parents (such as penguins), and unexpected friends (symbiotic animals). Each section has a page spread of a lead-in to the category, following by a tiled spread of different animals with a paragraph about each and an illustration of them. There are so many fascinating animals in the book, and I loved reading about each of them alongside my young reader.

What I loved: This is a highly educational book about all sorts of "cool" animals. Be prepared to find a lot of new favorites throughout. The book even includes some animals I had not heard of before, and I loved learning about them in the included paragraphs. I did not realize there were so many animals who glowed ('Who Glows There?' section), or know about all the special snoozers (animals who have interesting sleep habits). This book is just filled with interesting facts, and the accompanying illustrations are really lovely.

The oversized nature of the book makes each paragraph easy to read and each page even more fun to explore. This is definitely a book that is interesting to pick up and dive into. The intriguing facts definitely inspire additional learning about some of the cool animals and this would be great for sparking a love of learning more about all the unique animals out there.

Final verdict: A really intriguing primer on special animals, INCREDIBLE ANIMALS is a delightful non-fiction picture book that has a lot to teach. Highly recommend for curious children and animal lovers.
