LET'S GO OUTSIDE is a delightful book designed with babies in mind. The book takes the reader through a brief tour of the outdoors, complete with actions on each page. Babies are invited to look up at the blue sky, stretch like a tall tree, and buzz like a bee. Each page is full of colorful images with plenty of animals, insects, and parent/baby dyads.

What I loved: The actions in this book are delightful, particularly for young toddlers who will love to stretch like a tall, tall tree and buzz like a bee. The final page of the book asks "What else can you do outside?" and features an image with plenty of fun features. We like to hop like the frog (or bunny), flap our wings like a bird, bark like the dog, flutter our fingers like the butterflies, and hoot hoot like the owl. There are plenty of things for parents to come up with on their own. My young toddler absolutely loves acting these out and comes up with some of his own that make this book really fun and interactive.

The font is really easy for parents to read with an ideal word-to-picture ratio (pages turn fast for short attention spans), and older infants/young toddlers will love acting things out with their parents. You can help them stretch up their arms gently like a tree, and make a funny fish face when you splish like a fish. These sorts of things make reading truly delightful for little ones.

The images are also really fun with tons of bright colors, animals, and insects that will delight young children as they can point them out. Each page is full of things that kids will enjoy pointing out. I also really love the diversity of parent/child dyads with several races and both fathers and mothers depicted.

Another great feature is that this book is from the indestructibles line, which means it is safe to chew on, impossible to rip the pages, and easy to clean (just wipe it down). It's really nice just to be able to hand to babies on the go. It's also nice and light with easy to turn pages that allow young readers to explore for themselves.

Final verdict: This delightful book is designed with babies in mind and truly makes reading fun for parents and infants/young toddlers together. Highly recommend for any babies or toddlers.
