DREAM BIG is a celebration of life and achievement. Featuring simple language and bright, colorful illustrations of famous women, this book encourages young readers to dream bold, dream vibrant, and dream wild along with female pioneers. Despite only having a few words per page, this book is jam-packed with history and encouragement.

The ending includes information about the female pioneers shown on the pages, which is also indicated in small font in the illustration. Parents will recognize most of the women illustrated however, and this can lead to some great discussions with toddlers about who these people were and what they have achieved.

What I loved: The diversity in this book is amazing! Not only are there women from many races and ethnicities pictured, but there are also a breadth of achievements illustrated- from climbing mountains to creating artwork to scientists to architects to activists and more. Young girls- and boys and parents too- cannot help but be inspired by the many amazing individuals throughout the book. The illustrations are loads of fun also with lots of colors and full page designs, and the messages are pure gold for young people who can achieve anything!

Final verdict: This is a delightful read to enjoy with toddlers and preschoolers, who will enjoy exploring these many amazing people alongside their parents. The inspirational messages which encourage young dreamers adds to the appeal of this charming book. With the potential to read the few words/pages quickly or to delve deeper into the accomplishments of the illustrated individuals this has broad appeal for young ages. Highly recommend for young dreamers everywhere!
