I Love Classical Music (My First Sound Book)
I Love Classical Music has a button on every spread, which triggers one of six captivating sounds that introduces a memorable piece from some of the most beloved compositions of western classical music. An incredibly simple but utterly fascinating interactive book with sounds bound to enchant young readers and ignite an early love of classical music!
A delightful and compelling book in the My First Sound Book series that everyone in the family will enjoy reading -- and listening to -- again and again.
Includes pieces from:
What I loved: Toddlers can easily figure out how to turn on and off the music on each page with light touches, and they will enjoy listening to the music. The images are lovely and correspond to the music in an understandable way for a child (e.g. Vivaldi’s Four Seasons: Spring features flowers and bugs in lovely and colorful cartoonish images).
What left me wanting more: This is really a musical toy with a small book element. Toddlers will still enjoy it as a musical toy, but it would have been nice to have more of a book element with a complement of music. The volume of the music also cannot be controlled and is rather soft in terms of volume (though this is certainly better than too loud).
Final thoughts: Overall, toddlers will enjoy exploring this book on their own and playing the lovely music. The six songs selected are some of the most famous and the sound comes through well. With an on-off switch and vivid images, this is fun way to introduce classical music to your little one.
