"Throughout my young days at school and just afterwards, a number of things happened to me that I have never forgotten." Many remarkable things did happen to Roald Dahl when he was a boy, no doubt providing some of the marvellous ideas for his later books. And, like his stories, Dahl's childhood tales are unmissable.

Roald Dahl relates his strongest memories of his childhood, mostly of his school years up to a little overview of his first job. Dahl has quite a gift with storytelling, so even the more mundane sections are entertaining enough. Most fun for children will probably be the section with the dead mouse and the candy store; certainly, that is the only part that I remembered from having read the book many years ago.

i dont think i already did a review on this book but yea...

this is the autobiography of rhoald dahl. it tells about his childhood and the schools he went to. how he was as a kid and everything. how he got his ideas for most of his book like the mean principal from maltida is taken from one of the principals he had when he went to school...it's really hillarious.

this is an auto-biography abour roald dahl. in this funny tale he tells about his life growing up including stories about his school life, family and first job. after reading this book anyone can easily tell that most of the inspirations he got to write his book were from his own life. like in the book he is very much interested in the sweet shop linking to charlie and the chocolate factory.....his principal at the boarding school he attended was very mean linking to maltida.....and many more.
