Twelve-year-old Ankido is on a quest to save his missing father through the magical realm of Mesopo.

Mesopo is the land where all fantasy originates, a land whose words and language are in peril. Can Ankido save his father and restore all these words in time?

It was a red velvet box, the size of a school book. Ankido lifted the lid, revealing an old-fashioned quill made out of a reed. It smelled remote and otherworldly. Ancient. And for a reason he couldn’t explain, everything felt all right for a moment.

He thought he caught a sound flowing out of the quill, a word maybe. He wasn’t sure and he shook his head. This was ridiculous. No, he surely must have been mistaken. But there! There was the sound again. This time Ankido was sure of it.

“Mesopo” … whispered in a way that slipped around the room like the warm breeze of the desert.

“Vibrant characters and prose energize this literary adventure.” —Kirkus Reviews

It had been a great day. Perhaps the Best Day…

A seaside village many years ago.
A boy makes a new friend who says he has always wanted to come to the seashore. This is his last wish, to see where the world ends and the blue begins—because he is dying.
“Then we should do something fun today,” the younger boy announces. Fun! With all the doctors and hospitals, there’s been little time for fun. But what should they do?
Flying a kite is great fun on a windy day. But first they must make their kite. And they’ll need supplies. And the money to buy them. And they will have to get around all the grown-ups who might stand in their way.
And so this never-to-be-forgotten day begins.

This is a story of friendship. Of first loss. And of seizing the day.

Yummy Me Feels So Good

Yummy Me Feels So Good is about playing with your feelings and loving yourself. Parents this book is a great way to explore and play with feelings together with your children. There are animal pictures that children can enjoy and talk about. This is a beautiful way for your children to make friends with their feelings and learn how to "play" with them. It's also a way to encourage us to keep remembering and returning to positive and nurturing feelings and memories. This creates healthy neural networks in our brains. Something as simple as remembering an animal or happy feeling can change our whole body chemistry.

We can anchor happy feelings and memories in our neural networks by remembering them and "replaying" them to strengthen our "Happy Muscles".

We probably all remember when we were young how feelings came and went quickly and didn't "stick" so much. A simple belly laugh could easily erase feelings then and bring us back to joy and wonder.

This is the feeling of wonder and gratitude for just being alive. Watch as a child loses him or herself with an insect, animal, small pebble. or even a faraway star. They are lost in the feeling of wonder and joy. We can all remember that as our natural happy place we lived in when we were young. We can reclaim this when we give space to and appreciate our children's silent moments of wonder and joy.

It’s November 1935 and Polly spends her days in paradise, cracking coconuts and swimming in the warm surrounding waters of the South Pacific. Every day is filled with blue skies, the familiar rhythm of island drums and dance, and nightly feasts of freshly caught fish and harvested vegetables shared with the other villagers.

If only she could be at peace, but this great descendant of the famed mutineer, Fletcher Christian longs for adventure and change. Her wily spirit finds just that when a steamship arrives ready to trade. And, what she trades for leads her on a high seas adventure of mystery and deception.

For readers who enjoy stories like Charlotte Doyle and swashbuckling historical adventure.
