Magic Trixie (Magic Trixie #1)
Poor Magic Trixie cant seem to get a break. All her parents want to do is pay attention to her baby sister, she ends up having prune pancakes for breakfast, and now she has to find something to bring for show and tell that will outshine all her classmates. But her best spell is changing her hair color, and her friends have seen that a million times before. What she needs is a new spell, but none of her parents will let her touch the big spell book or the magic wands. Worst of all, Magic Trixies little sister is allowed to do everything shes not! Whats a witch-in-training to do?
Magic Trixie is the perfect graphic novel for younger readers. The setting makes it a great read for Halloween, but the story is far from scary. Trixies school is full of werewolves, vampires, mummies, and zombies, but deep down these characters are just normal kids. Trixie deals with issues many kids will be able to relate to, especially younger sibling jealousy.
Filled with full-color panels, great illustrations, and a lovable main character, Trixies antics will have you laughing in no time. Great for reluctant readers, new readers, and graphic novel fans alike.
