“Do you like green eggs and ham?” asks Sam-I-am in this Beginner Book by Dr. Seuss. In a house or with a mouse? In a boat or with a goat? On a train or in a tree? Sam keeps asking persistently. With unmistakable characters and signature rhymes, Dr. Seuss’s beloved favorite has cemented its place as a children’s classic. In this most famous of cumulative tales, the list of places to enjoy green eggs and ham, and friends to enjoy them with, gets longer and longer. Follow Sam-I-am as he insists that this unusual treat is indeed a delectable snack to be savored everywhere and in every way. Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning.

This is one of my favorite Dr. Seuss books. The rhyming and repetitive text is enjoyable to read and encouraging to young readers. This is a must-have for every child's bookshelf.

One of my very favorite Dr. Suess books! The rhymes are so much fun, and kids love the adventure of convincing the main character to just TRY green eggs and ham. What a fun way to talk about taking risks on new things. :)

Every time I pick this book up to read to one of my little cousins, my mom tells me that I should know it by heart by now. Apparently, I used to love this book so much when I was young; my mom knew it by heart. She didn’t even need the book. It’s a really great story. I love anything that rhymes. Dr. Seuss writes adorable tales that keep children’s minds running. So don't read it before bed time!
