Henry Huggins needs good press.
With the Ramona and Beezus movie on the way next spring, now is a great time to reread those Beverly Cleary classics. Why not start with Henry Huggins?
Originally published in 1950, it proves that while some things change (being able to playing safely wherever you want in your neighborhood, the use of pay telephones, buying horsemeat from the butcher for your dog), other things never do (a kid should never put two guppies in a bowl unless he wants a thousand more, white Christmass still rock, a dog is a boys best friend).
Pick up Henry Huggins by Beverly Cleary and enjoy a hilarious classic without a dull moment. It's as much fun as riding your bike with no hands.
