The Model President
The Model President is a book about a girl who is smart, creative and responsibe. She really wants to be class president but is running against a junior model who has turned the election into a fashion competition.
The Model President is a great book that is cute and funny. It teaches you to believe in yourself and never give up because you never know what might happen. I recommend this book to any girls ages 8-13 who wish they could be class president.
Millicent Madding had quite an odd life. Being raised by inventors and circus performers, she had not had any of the experiences normal girls had: picking out their own clothes, wearing high heels, and just being a regular sixth grader! But everything would change if she could just become class president.
Then the stuck-up students of a fashion school have to temporarily attend Millicents middle school, which means the famous Fiona Dimmet is going to be her classmate. And, whats more, Fiona has decided to run for class president, too! How could she compete with a popular, beautiful, famous model?
Author Brian Tacang has a rich imagination but he might have went too far. This book was so unrealistic that I couldnt even picture what was happening.
I have never read anything like it. It was imaginative, creative, but didnt make any sense. I had to struggle to finish reading it.
The characters seem well thought through and match the story perfectly, which made a big difference in my mind of how I thought of the book. Based on the story, though, I would not recommend it to anyone.
I didnt enjoy this book has much as I thought. It just wasnt for me.
