My Mommy's Tote
The book features more than 75 different objects (from mommys laptop to credit cards to keys to a handkerchief) and 30 activities (things come out, things fold open, clock hands that move, etc.), so theres lots for busy little hands to get into. Theres even some learning involved, as theres a spinning wheel that features the alphabet and numbers.
If youve got an active youngster that wants to dig into mommys real purse or tote, heres a safe alternative to give them. With so many different things to look at and do, it should keep a youngster occupied for quite some time.
The die-cut pages seem pretty sturdy, though Im sure things get bent with heavy usage (especially the thinner pieces), but it seems like it would stand up to the onslaught pretty well. It definitely appealed to neighborhood kids who noticed it in my office (even some quite a bit older than 3), with the brightly colored pieces and movable parts. I can definitely see it being a fun activity for a mommy to participate in with her child (and hey, where can I get a pin like the one on the tote that says No Whining?) Recommended for ages 3 and up.
