This book was incredible. It's about a young girl who lives in an all-black neighborhood, when suddenly this white boy comes to class, and everyone starts calling him Jesus, and wondering if maybe he really is Jesus. The book also explores the young girl's relationship with her older brother, who is deaf. The best thing about this book was the way that it approached religion. The main character is basically Agnostic, so even though there is a lot of talk about Jesus and Christianity, it doesn't shut out people from other religions (I'm a Buddhist, and I loved it!).
The characters in this book were all very human, and even though the book was short, I still feel like I made a connection with each of them. It's such a great book, I can't say enough good about it, everyone should just read it, especially since it's such a quick read!
