this book is a bout an 11 year old girl who had just turned 12 named Winnie(not winnie the pooh). the book sarts off as winnie being un popular and 11. she tries to put an old shirt of hers on but can't, she wonders why this could be. she streches it out and shows her mom! Her mom tells her she's older and there are a few changes that are going to happen on your body. her mom tells her they need to go BRA SHOPPING! Winnie freaks and tells her friend dianah. winnie has her graduation and ends up having one of her baby pictures shown, along with all the other students. winnie gets invited to a camp and lies to dianah. she was supposed to ask dianah if she wanted to go but decided she wanted to be alone. winnie gets stung by like a million bees and gets a lot of attention. at the last part of camp winnie has her first skinny dipping party!when she gets home, she changes, she doesn't talk to dinah that much anymore. and hardley ever sees her. the theme of this story is you can look the same and talk the same but you will always change everyday. i would recomened this book to anyone who likes humor and realistic stories. look for the other book THIRTEEN.
I absolutely loved this book!! Twelve, the sequel to eleven, had me laughing all the way through. Winnie is a perfect heroine- funny, sweet, and completely real. Every month brings new adventures that have deep messages about family, friendship, and life in a twelve year old's quirky and bright point of view.
