A secret world of their own. Jess Aarons' greatest ambition is to be the fastest runner in the fifth grade. He's been practicing all summer and can't wait to see his classmates' faces when he beats them all. But on the first day of school, a new girl boldly crosses over to the boys' side of the playground and outruns everyone.

That's not a very promising beginning for a friendship, but Jess and Leslie Burke become inseparable. Leslie has imagination. Together, she and Jess create Terabithia, a magical kingdom in the woods where the two of them reign as king and queen, and their imaginations set the only limits. Then one morning a terrible tragedy occurs. Only when Jess is able to come to grips with this tragedy does he finally understand the strength and courage Leslie has given him.

A beautiful story with tragic ending. It is about a boy who becomes friends with a girl whom he does not like in the beginning. Those  two become best friends she give him imagination and he gives her friendship. They make up an imaginary land called Terabithia where they are the king and queen. They protect the land from all dangers and have a royal Jester. I really liked the book.

We read Bridge To Terabithia it was about a boy name jessie and a girl name lesile moved in beside jessie. They weren't friends at first but then they became friends. Then they made up Bridge To terabithia in there head. I think bridge to terabithia was an amazing book. But there is a tragity at the end.But I think you will get over it.I think that you will be excited. So you will be on the edge of your seat. I think that if you are six or sixty you will like it.

Bridge To Terabithia is about a boy named Jesse and a girl named Leslie.they find a place in the woods and called it Teribithia.
I liked Bridge To Teribithia because Leslie and Jesse became friends and made a secret club house.I also liked it because they had a great relaitionship.I didnt like it because Leslie died at the end of the book.I also didnt like it because it was so emotional.
I think a smart reader would read Bridge To Terabithia.Who ever hasn't read it,they should,I would read it over again and again.

I really enjoyed reading this classic book of Jess, a young boy growing up in the 1970's. Jess is a loner who does not fit in with his peers at school until Leslie moves nearby and becomes his friend. They then discover Terabithia, a magical place in the forest where they spend hours until tragedy strikes and Jess is left alone.

Bridge to Terabithia is a great book but I wouldn't recomend it to little kids because I think this book is very mature, sad and I think some kids might not be able to handle it. Maybe when a child is a little older.....otherwise this book is awsome!!!! It's about this boy who meets this girl and become best friends. They play in a forest and make up this world called Terabitha. It's a great story about kids growing up. At the end of this story it's really sad, because the girl dies in the end. It's quite tragic, just because of that part in the book I wouldn't recommend it to little kids. Otherwise for teens it's a great book.

This book captures your imagination and makes you feel like a little kid. It helps you get away from the real world and the problems you are going through in life. I really liked how Leslie never gives up in trying to be Jess's friend. Even though he's mean to her and tries to ignore her, she keeps being nice, and eventually they become great friends.

I read this book when I was younger and then re-read it to my kids as a bonding activity. I was just as struck by this book and the emotions the second time I read it. It's the story of Jess, who has a rather ordinary life. He wants to be the fastest runner at school, and he almost is, but the new girl in school, a misfit with "gasp" no TV in her house, and great parents beats him. He automatically doesn't like her for this reason, but they do become friends. They make-believe this magical place called Terebithia, and go there together alot. They formed a strong bond and even go up against the school bully and win, but it's a bittersweet win, and they learn something about the bully that makes them see her differently. The story is written so that younger kids feel the bond they create, the happiness, the quirkiness and what each one of them brings into their relationship that makes it so good. It is an incredible book and I recommend it.

I loved this book, and my kids did too. We all thought it was way better than the movie. It is a wonderful story about friendship, how to deal with bullies, and overcoming difficulties. It was well written, funny, and the reader can connect on many different levels.
