The evil pixie Opal Koboi has spent the last year in a self-induced coma, plotting her revenge on all those who foiled her attempt to destroy the LEPrecon fairy police. And Artemis Fowl is at the top of her list.

After his last run-in with the fairies, Artemis had his mind wiped of his memories of the world belowground. But they have not forgotten about him. Once again, he must stop the human and fairy worlds from colliding—only this time, Artemis faces an enemy who may have finally outsmarted him.

This book was very... amusing. I think Opal was very smart, very very smart, to plan everythig while she was in her supposed coma, but of course- Artemis is smarter! Artemis Fowl is a 14-year-old genius who knows about fairies, and he helped her ruin in the second book (The Arctic Incident). Of course (and I'm not going to tell how; that would be spoiling it) Artemis Fowl wins. Yet, in the third book, the fairies mind-wiped him so throughout the book he slowly regains his memory until he finally has some "intelligent conversation" (with, of course, himself) in a recording he hid with his dwarf friend, Mulch Diggums.

I really loved this book. "I'll never make the mistake of mind-wiping you again." I quoted Foaly, a centaur. At the end of this book, they're practically all friends, and I feel good for Artemis, because he's nicer with friends, and he's actually learned to be kinder. I hope you read this book!!! I guarantee you'll be excited!

In the last book it seemed like everything was over for Artemis. His mind was wiped. There doesn't seem to be an escape this time...

Except we've come to expect a level of genius from Artemis. And we won't be disappointed. Because Artemis regains his memory.

And just in time...For it seems that evil genius, Opal, has escaped from the mental institution that she was put in. And the Fairy People are going to need all the help they can get to get her back behind bars...

This book had adventure on every page. It was entertaining and it was a fast read. I didn't like it as much as the first books- some of the jokes seemed overplayed. But it's still a good read and I look forward to reading the 6th book.

This fourth epic novel in the Artemis Fowl Series, (which can no longer ba called a trilogy) is a bit of a continuation off of Artemis Fowl: The Arctic Incident. Opal Koboi, has escaped from prison, and looks to unseat the government once again, but manages to do it without suspition fron the LEP. Can Holly keep her job? What can Artemis do since his mind has been erased? And what did Artemis do to try and escape the mind wipe, since we all know he tried to do something!!

Find out all this in the next installment of the Artemis Fowl series, Artemis Fowl: The Opal Conspiracy!

PS: Do you know enough Gnommish to decypher the message on the bottom of the pages?
