Tris's Book (Circle of Magic #2)
As the onslaught begins, two things become terribly clear: The pirates have a powerful new weapon, and they have an accomplice within Winding Circle. But the attackers have failed to reckon with the fury of a young mage betrayed once too often and her very stubborn, very loyal friends..."
Triss Book is the second book in the Circle of Magic quartet. In this book the four young mages help save a city from pirates. This book is really cool because we get a better demonstration of Triss weather powers. This was a very neat book. I loved it as much as I loved the first in the series.
Tamora Pierce does it again in her second installment of the Circle of Magic: Tris's Book. After a terrible earthquake, the four young mages have become woven together and have become close friends. In this book Tris struggles to deal with her new-found powers, and keep her dangerous weather-magic under control. When pirates attack the Winding Circle temple the four mages and their teachers much stand together to fight for their home, friends and thier own lives....
I love this book! I really think it is one of the best in the series. Sandry's book always seems rather slow, but this is almost non-stop action. Although series can theoretically be read out of order, it really is best to read Sandry's book before this one because it has a lot of refrences to the earlier book. The characters are all given deeper examinations as all struggle to learn thier new arts. A great second installment in the series.
