A new picture book from Jennie Palmer starring Milo, a little opossum with a big dream . . . to join the annual Christmas parade

Every year, Milo and his family watch the Christmas parade.
Well, Milo is the only one who’s really watching. The other opossums are interested only in snacking on dropped bits of popcorn and peppermint sticks. But Milo is riveted by the colorful costumes, giant balloons, and fantastic parade floats trimmed with fringe.
It’s his dream to one day join the Christmas parade. And this year, with a plan, hard work, and the unwavering support of his passel, Milo is determined to make his dream come true.
After months of drafting and building, Milo’s float is ready to roll, but is the Christmas parade ready for Milo? From author-illustrator Jennie Palmer comes a celebration of Christmas, family, and learning to shine bright.

MILO'S CHRISTMAS PARADE features a little opossum who wants nothing more than to join the Christmas parade. For this reason, he wants to build his own float to join the fun. While his family doesn't understand his dreams, they'll do anything to help Milo achieve them. Including helping build the best float they can.

This is a cute Christmas story that teaches children to follow their dreams. It also addresses that families should stick together by building each other up and helping each other when they need it. Milo's family is there for him, even when things seem like they're taking the worst possible turn.

The illustrations are soft yet colorful which is appropriate for the Christmas feels. I love that an opossum is the featured animal because it isn't one you see often. They're so cute with their tails!

Final Verdict: A cute holiday story for children of all ages, especially for those who love parades, like the Macy's Day Parade. It's also perfect to teach children to follow their dreams.
