GOODNIGHT, LITTLE LLAMA is a charming picture book story about friendship. Little Llama lives with her herd high in the windy mountains. She loves following her herd, but sometimes it is tough for her to catch up. The bigger llamas heading to the top of the mountain don't hear when Little Llama asks them to wait up. Luckily, she meets Chinchilla, who seems different, but it turns out they have a lot in common. Chinchilla leads her up the mountain, and Little Llama helps him back down. After they get back to her father, they settle down to sleep, happy with their friendship and adventures that day.

What I loved: This is a sweet story about friendship and making space for others. I appreciated that they also talk to find common ground, even though they may seem different at first. The simple lesson about friendship will resonate with young readers. The illustrations are interesting with Little Llama being photographs and the background and other animals illustrated with simple designs. The photographs are great for young readers who love seeing real animals. The text is clear and easy to read, which is great for low light, and the story ending with Little Llama's own bedtime, making this a great pick for night.

Final verdict: A sweet bedtime read about friendship, GOODNIGHT, LITTLE LLAMA is a charming picture book that young readers will enjoy. Recommend for toddlers through young elementary school aged readers.
