Making Tracks: City
What I loved: I love the diversity of characters and the inclusion of both people and animals who are making the tracks. These are truly reflective of a city, and is a fun lift-the-flap adventure for young children. The die-cut tracks and peek-through cut-outs on the flaps add some tactile fun that little ones can enjoy running their fingers over. I really appreciated that everyone (even the animals) are given names and activities in which they are partaking that gives it a more story-like feel.
The writing is large and clear, making it easy to read from a distance, and the flaps are very thick, sturdy, and nearly the size of a full page, making them easy for little fingers to turn and explore. This is perfect for older infants and young toddlers, who will appreciate the brief phrases, easy to turn pages and flaps, bright colors, and tracks to touch.
Final verdict: A fun exploration of the activities and tracks in the city, this board book is a cute and delightful lift-the-flap adventure for older infants and young toddlers.
