Stanley's Paint Box
Stanley brings his paint box to paint a colorful castle with Little Woo, Sophie, and Benjamin. There’s red paint and blue paint and yellow paint and white paint. But what about the other colors?
An early introduction to painting tools and art media, this board book is great for teaching primary and secondary colors.
What I loved: In terms of color books, there are not a lot that teach how secondary colors are made, and I thought that was explained well and easily here. The animals and boxes they paint to make a castle are really delightful and fun for young children to look at. A particular favorite is the "Whoops" when Sophie paints Stanley, which will make toddlers giggle. The text is really easy to understand, and the font is nice and large, so it is very easy to read aloud. Perfect for older infants through preschoolers.
Final verdict: A charming exploration of color, STANLEY'S PAINT BOX is a great way to introduce primary and secondary colors to young readers with plenty of fun among the simple story line and bright and delightful illustrations.
