STANLEY'S TOOLBOX is a delightful board book that shows many tools in action as Stanley helps to repair Little Woo's tree house. Each page shows a different tool and how Stanley uses it to fix a different part of the tree house, such as nailing the shingles back on the roof with a hammer or smoothing the rough floor with a sander.
What I loved: This book is full of bright colors and cute animals, such as Stanley and Little Woo- but also Little Woo's teddy bear who is hiding on each spread. Whether for an older infant or toddler who already love tools or for someone new to tools, this book is a cute procedural that follows steps to fixing a tree house- all the way to building a fun swing. The text is easy to read, printed boldly, and the amount of text per page is perfect for young readers.
Final verdict: STANLEY'S TOOLBOX is a charming exploration of tools and construction that will appeal to infants and toddlers who love animals, bright colors, and easy-to-follow plots.
